Where Tracing Practice Meets Racing Adventure
Racing Pencils is a children’s publishing brand created to make early handwriting practice more enjoyable, engaging and rewarding.
Our tracing books turn letters, numbers and pencil-control activities into exciting racing journeys. Children follow roads, complete practice laps, take on challenges and celebrate their progress with trophies and certificates.
Behind the colourful illustrations and playful theme is a carefully structured learning journey designed to help little learners practise one manageable step at a time.

OUR STORY
Why Racing Pencils Was Created
Learning to write takes time, repetition and patience. Traditional handwriting practice can sometimes feel repetitive, particularly for young children who are still developing pencil control and confidence.
Racing Pencils was created to give that practice a sense of movement, purpose and achievement. The racing theme transforms each activity into part of a journey: children trace the road, practise the moves, complete the challenge and celebrate reaching the finish line.
The aim is not to rush children through handwriting. It is to encourage steady progress, positive practice and pride in every improvement.
WHAT MAKES RACING PENCILS DIFFERENT
Learning Through Every Lap
Each Racing Pencils book combines playful presentation with a clear progression from supported tracing to more independent practice.
Guided progression
Activities move gradually from large, highly guided tracing to smaller letters, numbers and independent challenges.
Child-friendly motivation
Roads, vehicles, racing challenges, trophies and certificates help make repeated practice feel purposeful and fun.
Confidence through repetition
Familiar patterns and achievable stages allow children to practise important movements without feeling overwhelmed.
Designed for shared learning
Parents, carers and teachers can guide children through the activities while praising effort and celebrating progress.

A Note from the Creator

I created Racing Pencils to bring together early handwriting practice, imaginative transport themes and the excitement of completing a challenge.
My hope is that these books help children approach writing with greater confidence and give parents and teachers a positive, enjoyable way to support them.
