Lowercase Letter Tracing Book

Race through lowercase letters a–z!

A fun, transport-themed tracing adventure for little learners aged 3–6!

Ready, set, trace! Jump into the driver’s seat and explore lowercase letters a–z with colourful vehicles, playful letter roads and exciting tracing challenges.

Every letter spread combines letter recognition with progressive guided handwriting practice. As the tracing support gradually reduces, children develop their pencil control, letter formation skills and confidence step by step.

But the adventure doesn’t stop there! Children can collect trophies, take on their final racing challenges and celebrate their achievements with a special champion certificate.

How Lowercase Letter Tracing Progresses

From first guided traces to more independent letter writing, children develop their skills step by step.

1. Follow the Letter Road

Start with a large road-style letter. Follow the car and arrows to discover the letter’s shape and formation direction.

2. Guided Drive

Follow the starting point, formation guide and arrows to learn how the letter should be written.

3. Dashed Path

Trace the dashed letter from the starting dot as the guidance gradually reduces.

4. Solo Driving

Start with just a dot and practise forming the whole letter more independently.

Look Inside: Discover, Trace & Write!

More than handwriting practice — each letter spread brings letter recognition, transport-themed discovery and progressive tracing together.

Discover Letters Through Transport

On the left page, children discover lowercase letters through colourful named transport-themed illustrations that start with the page-spread’s letter. Large letter roads and playful tracing activities help them recognise letter shapes and practise formation.

Practise Letter Formation

On the right page, children continue practising on handwriting lines. Guided letter formation gradually gives way to more independent writing, helping build pencil control, accuracy and confidence.

Champion Tracing Laps!

The Final Stretch: From Guided Practice to Independent Writing!

Ready for the final racing challenge? Three progressively challenging tracing levels — Easy, Medium and Champion Laps — help children develop their lowercase letter-writing skills, with a handy formation guide to support their final independent challenge.

Easy Laps

Start with large racing-style lowercase letters a–z. Follow the little cars and trace each letter to reinforce its shape and formation direction.

Medium Laps

Move onto handwriting lines and trace the dashed lowercase letters a–z. Practise forming each letter with the correct size and positioning as the guidance gradually reduces.

Champion Laps Guide

Take a final look at the fully formed lowercase letters on handwriting lines. Use them as a reference for letter shapes, sizes and positioning before tackling the ultimate challenge.

Champion Laps

It’s time to race independently! With only starting dots to guide them, children put their skills to the test by writing lowercase letters a–z without tracing outlines or dashed guides.

Celebrate Every Milestone!

Every letter mastered is another achievement worth celebrating!

Collect Your Trophies!

Watch those achievements add up! As children complete lowercase letters a–z, they can colour or decorate the matching trophy in their very own My Trophies cabinet. Each decorated trophy marks another milestone and provides a fun visual reminder of their progress.

Become a Letter Tracing Champion!

Cross the finish line and celebrate! After completing the tracing activities and taking on the Champion Laps, children can proudly fill in their Letter Tracing Champion certificate — a special keepsake recognising their effort, progress and growing confidence.
