Number Tracing Book

Race through numbers 1–20!

A fun, transport-themed tracing adventure for little learners aged 3–6!

Ready, set, trace! Jump into the driver’s seat and explore numbers 1–20 with colourful cars, playful counting activities and exciting tracing challenges.

Every number spread combines number recognition, counting and guided handwriting practice. As the tracing support gradually reduces, children develop their pencil control, number formation skills and confidence step by step.

But the adventure doesn’t stop there! Children can collect trophies, take on their final racing challenges and celebrate their achievements with a special champion certificate.

How Number Tracing Progresses

From first guided traces to more independent number writing, children develop their skills step by step.

1. Follow the Number Road

Start with a large road-style number. Follow the car and arrows to discover the number’s shape and formation direction.

2. Guided Drive

Follow the starting point, formation guide and arrows to learn how the number should be written.

3. Dashed Path

Trace the dashed number from the starting dot as the guidance gradually reduces.

4. Solo Driving

Start with just a dot and practise forming the whole number more independently.

Look Inside: Discover, Count & Trace!

More than handwriting practice — each number spread brings counting, recognition and tracing together.

Count in Fives

On the left page, cars are arranged in groups of five, helping children recognise quantities, practise counting and connect numbers with the objects they represent.

Explore Groups of Ten

On the right page, cars are organised into groups of ten in a colourful car park, helping children visualise larger numbers and understand how quantities are grouped.

Champion Tracing Laps!

The Final Stretch: From Guided Practice to Independent Writing!

Ready for the final racing challenge? Three progressively challenging tracing levels — Easy, Medium and Champion Laps — help children develop their number-writing skills, with a handy formation guide to support their final independent challenge.

Easy Laps

Start with large racing-style numbers from 1 to 20. Follow the little cars and trace each number to reinforce its shape and formation direction.

Medium Laps

Move onto handwriting lines and trace the dashed numbers from 1 to 20. Practise forming each number with the correct size and position as the guidance gradually reduces.

Champion Laps Guide

Take a final look at the fully formed numbers on handwriting lines. Use them as a reference for number shapes, sizes and positioning before tackling the ultimate challenge.

Champion Laps

It’s time to race independently! With only starting dots to guide them, children put their skills to the test by writing numbers 1 to 20 without tracing outlines or dashed guides.

Celebrate Every Milestone!

Every number mastered is another achievement worth celebrating!

Collect Your Trophies!

Watch those achievements add up! As children complete numbers 1–20, they can colour or decorate the matching trophy in their very own My Trophies cabinet. Each decorated trophy marks another milestone and provides a fun visual reminder of their progress.

Become a Number Champion!

Cross the finish line and celebrate! After completing the tracing activities and taking on the Champion Laps, children can proudly fill in their own Number Tracing Champion certificate — a special keepsake recognising their effort, progress and growing confidence.
